Russia: The New Moral Authority In The World?

I was raised to believe that Russia was our sworn enemy.  I remember well Our Lady's of Fatima's promise that Russia would be converted.  While some will argue that Russia was never specifically consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, or that a moral majority never existed, it seems relatively clear today that Russia has indeed converted.  I would go so far as to recognize Russia as the new moral authority in the world.

When Vladimir Putin was elected to his 3rd term as president of Russia, I found myself wondering if the world was slipping back into the Cold War era of Soviet Russia.  I never really paid attention to what was happening in Russia outside of what I read from the typical drive by media sources.

Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev attend church regularly.  These days you will find Putin wearing a cross, kissing religious icons, and talking about his love for spiritual values.  The majority of Russians also frown on celebrating the sin of homosexuality, you won't find any gay pride parades in Moscow.  Russia is spending millions rebuilding churches, monasteries, & holy sites w/ enthusiastic support from tax payers.  One need only search the world news to realize that all is not as it seems.

Many more news stories have appeared lately, it seems that Putin has become the target of the leftest media. The upcoming Olympics should be interesting.
